ASIL consists of a wet chemistry laboratory for the preparation of archaeological and modern bone, tooth, hair, plant, and charred seeds for multi-stable isotope analysis, an isotope mass spectrometry lab equipped with an EA-IRMS for the measurement of CNOHS and a GC-C-IRMS for compound specific isotope measurements, as well as a weighing room for precision weighing of samples for isotope ratio mass spectrometer, and a separate vented oven room that houses the muffle furnace, ovens, vacuums, and a freeze dryer.
